Amores Perros (2000) reviewed ★★★★

Amores Perros by Alejandro González Iñárritu is a film which explores three lives that all become connected when a car accident occurs. Many of Iñárritu’s films are all done in the same fashion when it comes to interlacing stories, however, this one is my favorite. The film does a great job depicting tragedy as it comes into the three separate love stories that all fuse together as the film progresses. I can’t do this film justice by writing a review since it is so well made that I would just ruin the whole vision Iñárritu wanted the viewer to perceive. From this point on if you are one of the people who haven’t seen this movie then stop reading immediately. Amores Perros carrys in it the stories that are so well crafted with concepts that are very inspiring. One of my favorite ideas that was brought to the table in Amores Perros was the idea of an aged hit-man who had destroyed his relationship with his daughter by trying to make the world right for her, and now his life is carrying out hits and living alone with his dogs. It’s ideas like this that makes a film a film and shows the creativeness of it’s creators.
